The know-how of the company derives from scientific research carried out in the i3 research unit at Fondazione Bruno Kessler, a research institute in the autonomous province of Trento, in which excellent results have been achieved in the field of the interfaces’ developing for supporting group interaction through multi-touch interactive tables. Practix has converted the obtained experience into products and services designed for the market.

FBK believes in this business venture and, through its activity for the technology transfer, has supported the birth of Practix, both maintaining a 20% shareholding in the company and housing the company. The startup’s location in the office complex of FBK significantly reinforces the continuing link between the expertise of Practix and scientific research in the field of interactive tables.
