Who we are
Practix Ltd is a company formed in 2010 as a spin-off from Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK). Its core business is the development of software for multi-touch interactive tables. Its expertise derives from the skills and experience gained at the i3 research unit, in the IT sector, which has carried out research in the field of HCI (Human Computer Interaction) for many years, in collaboration with companies, research institutes and universities all over the world.
Practix is based in the building of FBK and its staff are in close contact with the working group that still works in this sector. FBK believes in and supports the entrepreneurial spirit at the heart of this spin-off, continuing to offer consultancy and maintaining a 20% shareholding in the company.
Along with FBK, the other shareholders are engineer Daniel Tomasini, a former researcher at the i3 research unit and current president of Practix Ltd, the consultancy N&G Consulting and other professional figures with proven experience in management and the commercial sector.
